I heard the word 'prom' for the first time, was when I listened to Bon Jovi's song titled 'never say goodbye'. I was about junior high school that day, and still learning English. I searched for the meaning of this word in my manual dictionaries, but I did not find the definitions of it. I have no idea why it wasn't there. I asked my elder sister about it, and she said, prom night was something like an inauguration party, which was held during our graduation. It was not in dictionary, but that didn't mean, prom night did not exist.

In the country I live now, Indonesia, prom night is started to be popular. The global culture and assimilation has caused it. Commonly it is starting from junior high school and then continued to high school. To me, as a boy that time, I didn't really notice the details about prom nights, not like if I were a girl perhaps :D .

' Can't take my eyes off of you....' that is a line of an old song with the same title. Hey..why do I suddenly talk about it anyway ?
